They also turn on the charm by showcasing their dog antics, running, licking and playing fetch.

The four Pasir Ris Camp stray dogs that have been in the spotlight since yesterday — after it was reported that a full-time national service is currently in trouble for saving one of the dogs from brutality by videotaping its abuse and making it public — have said they are not aggressive.

Speaking through a dog whisperer, the four stray dogs rescued from the army base admitted that they might have bitten personnel within the vicinity of the camp before but that they only bite people they deem to be “unreasonable” and “acting like assholes”.

One of the brown dogs, the pack leader, said through its interpreter: “Look at me. I am so aggressive… by rolling over and letting you rub my belly and flopping my ears around.”

These left members of the media “oooh-ing” and “aaah-ing” at their silly doggy antics.

One of the black dogs later started licking and mock wrestling with his buddies in an enclosure where they are currently held, leading to the media to take selfies for their personal Instagram and live-tweeting the adorable scene.

One of the stray dogs was later heard saying through its interpreter: “The NSF who saved us and made public our suffering is to be hailed as a whistleblower. He is Singapore’s Edward Snowden.”

The NSF is deemed to have used a camera phone in a protected zone and had to be disciplined for breaking the rules.

Politically-conscious and socially-aware Hougang residents stick it to authoritarian, dog-killing bastards.

About 50 Hougang residents rushed to the scene of a dog-killing to put an end to the state-sanctioned brutality.

A group of 50 Hougang residents rushed to the scene of a stray dog weeping for help as it was in the midst of being brutally murdered.

The incident took place at about 1030 p.m. last night after a stray dog was spotted and reported to the police, who called in the dog catchers.

The madness only ended two hours later when animal welfare advocates showed up on the scene to put a stop to the senseless killing, which reminded many of the type of violence that took place during the Japanese Occupation.

Witnesses said the dog-catchers were likely to have been activated by the AVA or police, who used a spiked rope to catch and kill the dog, ensuring that it dies a slow and painful death, turning its demise into a public spectacle.

The dog’s pitiful and blood curdling cries were meant to send a warning to all the stray dogs, cats and birds in the vicinity that their days were also numbered.

However, the cries only attracted the politically-aware and socially-conscious Hougang residents, who sprung into action and demonstrated the power of a people-led democracy.

About 50 residents assisted the dog in defending against the AVA-appointed assassins, until animal welfare volunteers showed up.

Self-styled political pundit, Eric de Yaya, said: “If this dog murder occurred in Tanjong Pagar GRC, for example, I doubt citizens would have taken any action to help.”

He added: “How can anyone be spurred to help a poor animal when they haven’t even voted in a general election before?”
