Two men who are holding Vietnamese passports were arrested on Jan. 5, 2016, at a hotel along Bayfront Avenue after they allegedly stole about S$500,000 in cash from a safe located in a fruit stall at Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they caught the suspects at 10.30pm on Tuesday night, within 16 hours of the stall owner making a police report.

The suspects had arrived in Singapore on Jan. 1.

Shui Guo, 44-year-old unemployed

sian-half-uncle “It is not right to steal the fruits of other people’s labour.”
Tou Dong Xi, 62-year-old ex-convict

happy-bird-girl “With that amount of money, you can afford to buy half an HDB flat.”
Cheng Hu Chu, 17-year-old student
