In yet another stunning twist to Singapore politics, it has been discovered by some hawk-eyed Internet people that His Leeness had quite vehemently objected to a Singapore population size of more than 5.5 million some five years ago.

As seen in this newspaper clipping from 2008, His Leeness then mooted the idea of waterside living, where every canal is dressed up to be as artificial as Singapore River and Kallang River, and this condition does not particularly support “a terrific density of population”:

Not that we here at New Nation want to agree with him , but we just want to see the PAP at loggerheads.

Is Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong trying to escape from his father’s shadow by increasing Singapore’s population to 7 million?

Is this PM Lee’s way of showing that he is his own man?

Where is the messianic voice of His Leeness when we need him? He seems to be as quiet as Mah Bow Tan and Wong Kan Seng lately.

Stay tuned for GE2016!
