No calls to fence up communal areas so the public can have exclusive access there.

Communal areas in Clark Quay such as the water fountain and pedestrian walkways should be fenced off to make sure “the old and young can get to use the space meant for them”, said no PAP MP ever.

None of the remaining 82 PAP MPs in Parliament said crowds in the Clark Quay area have returned to levels before the Dec. 8, 2013 riot in Little India, and residents around the waterfront must be protected from “the disamenities that can arise from large gatherings”.

All PAP MPs, however, tacitly acknowledged the contributions of these foreign workers in Clark Quay, but not one of them openly said: “Congregations of such high density are walking time-bombs and public disorder incidents waiting to happen.”

And no MPs from the ruling party called for more recreation centres for foreign workers to be built outside Clark Quay.
