They are prime ministerial siblings material.

Singaporeans from all walks of life, who recognise prime ministerial material when they see it, are praising Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s siblings.

This after Singaporeans noticed Tharman’s siblings are not argumentative and have not taken their grievances to social media to distract Singapore from working on its economy and achieving year-on-year economic growth.

One Singaporean, Sio Pah, said: “Tharman Shanmugaratnam is the epitome of a prime minister. His siblings have shown that they are also prime ministerial sibling material by not having public tiffs over nothing important.”

“Very becoming and certainly a hot favourite.”

Other locals said Tharman’s family’s discipline is admirable and something other leaders in the PAP should aspire to.

Another local, Hao Ban Yang, said: “It is not everyday Singaporeans can have such a dignified family represent them on the world stage.”

“A statesman who can keep his own house in order and not drag the rest of the country down with him.”

At press time, Singaporeans would like Tharman’s family to inherit 38 Oxley Road since they seem more able to handle it.

Aiyah too bad men in white said SG can’t handle a non-Chinese Prime Minister.

Maybe Tharman stands a chance if we have a “reserved election” for our PM position too… Just have to wait after 5 consecutive Chinese PMs then can pass the law.

I’m sure Tharman will have a good shot after LHL’s grandson retires.
