S’poreans still want Tharman as Prime Minister despite Ah Boys To Men snafu

Posted on 28 May 2017

Tharman for PM, regardless.

Singaporeans from all walks of life, who are from the majority, are sounding a conciliatory note and still insisting that Tharman Shanmugaratnam be the next prime minister of Singapore.

This after an Indian man was asked to be more Indian during an Ah Boys To Men audition, which is a racist thing to do, resulting in the majority of Singaporeans to come out to say there is no better leader to lead Singapore than Tharman and there was never any doubt about that.

One Singaporean, Hua Ren, said: “Whatever Jack Neo movies portray, they are worlds apart from many of our personal strongly held beliefs that Tharman is a capable man who can do wonders for Singapore.”

“His rise to the top is nothing but meritocratic and a testament to his abilities as a leader.”

Other locals said Tharman’s ability to rally the masses regardless of race, language or religion should be the starting and ending point of any argument.

Another local, Yin Du Ren, said: “I wouldn’t be that worried if Jack Neo continues making his type of low-brow, slapstick movies pandering to the lowest common denominator.”

“I would be worried for Singapore the day Tharman is done serving the country.”
