S’poreans reminded movies are made to whack govt, not fellow S’poreans

Posted on 30 May 2017

Let’s regain our focus.

Singaporeans from all walks of life, who have momentarily lost their way, are reminded that the purpose of the movie medium is to whack the government.

This after Singaporeans from the majority and minority racial groups have been whacking one another due to the Ah Boys To Men audition snafu, resulting in Singaporeans turning on one another.

One Singaporean, Hor Yee See, said: “Lest we forget, Singaporeans must unite as one. We must not whack one another but whack the government instead.”

“If we are fractured, we will be easily ruled by the government.”

“If we unite, we will make sure the government doesn’t have its way with us as they can divide and conquer us.”

“Basically, if Singaporeans whack one another, we will have no time left to whack the government.”

Other locals said this sort of ruling mechanism is evident in this latest episode as the government has stayed out of this controversy.

Another local, Kua Hee, said: “The people in the ivory tower are watching us whack one another.”

“Let us not give them this opportunity. Let us turn our focus on them. We should make ‘Ah Boys To Ministers’ and ‘Ah Boys To Permanent Secretaries” movies.”

“Let these movies expose how the system works.”
