S’poreans disappointed Cabinet meeting has long table but no cabinet

Posted on 30 April 2017

Singaporeans from all walks of life, who will notice an anomaly when they see one, are upset.

This after they saw a photo showing a group of PAP ministers seated around a long table with no cabinet in sight, which ruined their image of a Cabinet meeting.

One Singaporean, Pian Ren De, said he could not believe his eyes: “How can there be a long table in place of a cabinet in a Cabinet meeting?”

“Is the government so poor they cannot afford a cabinet? This is fake news.”

However, other Singaporeans said the photo would shed light on Singapore’s governance.

Another local, Zho Zheng Hu, said: “They should really call it a Table meeting if they were really serious about proper governance and being accountable to the people.”

“I wonder how these politicians can still look the people in the eye and say they are Cabinet ministers?”
