Singaporeans from all walks of life, who recognise the situation for what it is, have come out to praise a block of HDB flats.
This after the block of flats has been painted with a mural of Tan Cheng Bock, whose name is now Tan Cheng Block.
One Singaporean, Dang Zhu Ta, said: “This is a great initiative. Seeing Tan Cheng Bock become Tan Cheng Block became a work in progress to a reality.”
Other locals said having a Tan Cheng Block of flats is a reminder that anything is possible with a bit of will.
Another local, You Xin Xing, said: “There is nothing that screams you have been blocked than to be the block itself.”
“Not many people can claim they have an entire block created just to cater to him.”
