Trainers planning Pokéxit rename S’pore as Poképore from Aug. 6, 2016

Posted on 07 August 2016

New date for national day.

Singaporeans from all walks of life, who are no longer celebrating National Day on Aug. 9, are going to rename themselves “Poképorean”.

This after Pokémon Go was launched on Aug. 6, 2016.

One Poképorean, Pi Kah Choo, said: “As a trainer, I am proud to be from Poképore.”

“Aug. 6 will be our national day from now on.”

Other Poképoreans said they are coming up with plans to emphasise the benefits of secession.

Ka Cham Aw, a Poképorean, said: “Pokéxit is on the cards and we hope a referendum will pass soon.”

“This will help differentiate the real trainers from the hobbyists.”
