England to retire from international football

Posted on 28 June 2016

Failure at international level shall cease.

England has announced it will quit international football.

This after they suffered a 1-2 loss to Iceland in the Euro 2016 tournament on Monday.

Their exit marks the second time England has left Europe in four days.

And it follows in the footsteps of Lionel Messi, who is quitting the Argentina national team after losing to Chile.

However, in England, a petition is making the rounds calling for a rematch with Iceland as the English regret the result and they hope to have a second chance.
