S’poreans react to Son of Punggol Koh Poh Koon feeling confident winning in Ang Mo Kio GRC during GE2015

Three thoughts that must have went past your mind at some point.

Son of Punggol Koh Poh Koon has migrated to Ang Mo Kio GRC to stand for the upcoming general election believed to be held before 2015 is over.

The 43-year-old said he is “more prepared” for the coming polls as part of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s six-person team following his defeat in the 2013 Punggol East by-election.

Here are three thoughts Singaporeans have:

sian-half-auntie “If it were me, I would also be prepared to ride on coattails any day.”
Yia Leow Lor, 45-year-old nurse

sian-half-uncle “I enjoy how the GRC system is giving more confidence to PAP candidates who are clearly not confident winning SMCs on their own.”
Mei Yeo Yong, 63-year-old ballot box maker

happy-bird-girl “If Koh Poh Koon was a cactus or lup cheong, he would also be elected due to the fact that he is standing in Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s team.”
Jiak Ngoh Hiang, 17-year-old Chinese sausage handler
