S’poreans react to Lim Boon Heng’s comment that ill will towards PAP has improved

Posted on 27 August 2015

Three thoughts that must have went past your mind at some point.

Former PAP chairman Lim Boon Heng said the mood towards the People’s Action Party (PAP) in Aljunied GRC is friendlier these days after the General Election 2011.

Lim has been working with activists there after retiring from politics four years ago.

Here are three thoughts Singaporeans have:

sian-half-auntie “Singaporeans used to spit and curse at PAP MPs but now they just give dirty looks.”
Pui Chao Nua, 44-year-old dental hygienist

sian-half-uncle “Things can only get better especially after PAP has been at their worst the last decade.”
Zhen Zhao Gao, 62-year-old prison warden

happy-bird-girl “People are generally friendlier towards you when they know you are senile.”
Lao Ren Yuan, 17-year-old nurse

Strongly disagree with #2. Things will only get worse and worse if they continue to take charge.

It’s almost as if they take the challenge of screwing the nation even more very seriously.
