Accusations will be seen as obvious smear campaign.

Singaporeans from all walks of life, who can see things clearly, have come out to encourage the mainstream media to continue reporting on the baseless accusations against the Workers’ Party’s Daniel Goh.

This after the mainstream media reported on an anonymous email sent to them without checking the veracity of the claims that accused Goh of having an affair with his ex-student.

Singaporeans who heard of this said the accusations must carry on even more seriously if is to have a serious impact and hurt the PAP.

One Singaporean, Gao Wai Yu, said: “If the mainstream media does not keep repeating the same accusations and keep harping on it, it will obviously look like there is no merit to it.”

“And then this will not be ideal as it becomes less obvious the mainstream media is working to help the incumbent party.”

However, other Singaporeans said they have faith the mainstream media will go into overdrive and keep reporting falsehoods as this is not below them.

Another local, Jiang Pian Hua, said: “This is the type of gutter politics Singapore has been known for and and people know from where it originates.”

“I wish the mainstream media will continue with it as they will look like they are desperately assisting the Workers’ Party’s political rivals.”

“It is really a win-win situation for all: The mainstream media gets to ruin their own reputation, PAP fails to get elected and WP forms the next government.”
