S’poreans react to Inderjit Singh vs Ng Eng Hen tension

Posted on 28 July 2015

Three thoughts that must have went past your mind at some point.

Veteran PAP MP Inderjit Singh took to Facebook to announce his retirement suddenly, in reaction to the redrawing of electoral boundaries where his Kebun Baru ward was inexplicably swapped from Ang Mo Kio GRC to Nee Soon GRC.

This caused a reaction from Defence Minister and PAP Organising Secretary Ng Eng Hen, who told the media on July 27, 2015, that the retirement of MPs, especially those who have served 15, 20 or even 30 years, should be done more smoothly and in a more deliberate and dignified manner.

This turn of events suggest tension might be brewing within the party.

Here are three thoughts Singaporeans have:

sian-half-auntie “Fortunately Michael Palmer announced his affair internally in a dignified manner at that time and did not put it up on Facebook hastily.”
Gao Wai Yu, 43-year-old kept woman

sian-half-uncle “It would have been much worse and completely undignified if Inderjit Singh chose to announce his retirement in The New Paper.”
Tak Poh Zhua, 66-year-old rag-and-bone man

happy-bird-girl “Judging by the length and thickness of Inderjit Singh’s beard, he is definitely mature enough to announce his retirement any way he damn well pleases.”
Zhang Hu Xu, 16-year-old student

Is that the HEN speaking or is he willingly being used as the mouth piece of his ball-less and pinky boss who has all his dirty work done for him ALL HIS LIFE! LOL.
BTW I think the Hen don’t mind doing the dirty work since the party makes sure that he and his wife, the CEO of Singhealth, get paid a lot of $$$$$$$. Money can buy a lot of hens and chicken hearts.
