Overweight rat seen in world famous photo claims camera adds 20 pounds

Posted on 28 May 2015

And it’s right.

An overweight rat whose photo was circulated widely online has claimed that it is a victim of body-shaming.

The photo was reportedly taken in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, within the vicinity of a popular outdoor eating area.

Speaking to media via its spokesrat, the rodent said: “A wide-angle lens will make anything look huge. The camera adds 20 pounds to my body. If people keep circulating ‘shocking’ photos like this online, customers are going to stop eating at these delicious outdoor stalls.”

And it may be right.
