Mechanical ventilation machine in ICU continues functioning because of Lee Kuan Yew

Posted on 26 February 2015

Just like how everything else in Singapore is reliant on Lee Kuan Yew.

A mechanical ventilation machine warded in the Intensive Care Unit at Singapore General Hospital remains sedated and relying on former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew to survive.

Doctors have restarted the machine on antibiotics and are continuing to monitor it closely.

One doctor, Kwa Noh Koon, said: “Lee Kuan Yew is a Cambridge-educated lawyer who is responsible for building Singapore into one of the world’s wealthiest nations on a per capita basis with a strong, pervasive role for the state and little patience for dissent.”

“He co-founded the People’s Action party, which has ruled Singapore since 1959 and led the newly born country when it separated from Malaysia in 1965.”

“We will keep the ventilation machine under close observation round the clock to make sure that it is functioning.”

“The reason the ventilation machine is functioning is because of Lee Kuan Yew.”
