Network failure not as great as previously thought, as M1 did not receive many complaints when network went down.

"Eh I heard you wear orange colour your network connectivity will improve... Hello... Hello?"

“Eh I heard you wear orange colour your network connectivity will improve… Hello… Hello?”

M1 is giving free mobile and Internet usage for all its customers as a form of compensation after its network went down yesterday, which affected thousands of subscribers.

As compensation, M1 will be giving a full-day of free usage of mobile and Internet service on Feb. 29 this year.

All M1 subscribers interviewed by New Nation said they felt they can be placated by this show of generosity by the telecommunications company that covers anywhere under the sun.

Except yesterday.

However, Gong Dian Wei, an M1 spokesperson, said the network failure on Feb. 4, which lasted from morning till some time in the afternoon, was not as severe as previously thought: “Whole day like none of our subscribers call or email us to complain about network down. Quite quiet. So should be okay.”
