S’poreans agree PAP doing well upholding democratic socialist ideals

Posted on 08 December 2013

The proof of PAP’s democratic socialism is all over the island.

Singaporeans from all walks of life are nodding their heads sagely in agreement.

This after the PAP published their 2013 resolution promising to “dedicate ourselves to upholding our democratic socialist ideals, serving our nation and improving Singaporeans’ lives”.

One Singaporean, Kee Puah Keow, who was gambling at Marina Bay Sands casino, said he agreed the PAP had all along been working towards that direction: “Look at MBS. This is a socialist’s wet dream come true.”

Other Singaporeans are just as agreeable.

Another Singaporean, Li Guan Yao, who was standing around Oxley Road, said: “Yes, one way of living up to the democratic ideal is having a one-party system after 50 years of nationhood.”

Other Singaporeans interviewed at Gardens By The Bay and Sentosa Cove said the area they are in bodes well for socialist beliefs and aspirations.

Jin Wu Lui, a local, said: “What the less well-off in Singapore need are a garden in the city centre and nice buildings off Sentosa island that they will never access.”
