They are grateful to be socially engineered and moved around like chess pieces.

Young Singaporean couples from all walks of life who enjoy being subordinated are thanking National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan.

This after Khaw Boon Wan implemented housing policies whereby Singaporean couples buy HDB flats first and then settle down to get married.

Qu Jie Hun, a young local woman, said: “Our entire lives revolve around owning a HDB flat. Who we marry, how long before we should settle down, our future aspirations… It all boils down to having a flat. We enjoy being told what to do.”

Another young Singaporean man, Hen Pian Yee, said: “Ya, spending several hundred thousand dollars for a small apartment is a steal.”

“We would like to personally thank everyone involved for implementing this sort of social engineering to control our lives and our destiny.”
