Gordon Ramsay opening 50 chili crab restaurants in S’pore

Posted on 08 July 2013

Chili crab renamed as official national dish of Britain.

Buoyed by the success of his crowd-pleasing chili crab dish which won over the masses in the SingTel Hawker Heroes cook-off yesterday, Master Chef Gordon Ramsay is planning on opening 50 restaurants in Singapore selling his new found signature dish.

Gordon’s Chili Crab Restaurant, which is what his establishment will be tentatively called, will sell chili crab only and it will be referred to as “Singaporeans’ Preferred Dish”.

The British Embassy has told the press that the national dish of Britain has been changed to chili crab following Gordon Ramsay’s victory.

Singaporeans who tried Gordon Ramsay’s interpretation of the chili crab dish at the cook-off held at Newton Food Centre yesterday evening said they were impressed he got it right so quickly.

Jin Tum Jiak, a local foodie, said: “Anything ang moh cook confirm nice one. He charge double the price of Jumbo Seafood I will also pay to eat it.”

Neither Singapore nor Malaysia can lay claim to being masters of the chili crab dish as of today.
