Gay agenda could cause social chaos

Posted on 03 July 2013

Buying durian will lead to trouble.

This just in: One aspect of the gay agenda, which consists of buying durian, has been criticised after a sign promoting it was being picketed around on Pink Dot at Hong Lim Park on Saturday.

Opponents of the agenda said that it is harmful as it can cause social chaos to erupt.

One concerned member of the public, Tao Nao Pai, explained his concern: “If you want to buy durian, some of us will not be able to buy because it is sold out. Some people will die as a result of gays buying durian… a young man with another young man holding a durian may attract some insults from some other men, the boyfriend will start fighting and some people will die.”

His rationale is similar to the one showcased by Vivian Balakrishnan some years ago, when the minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports said:

“If you want to dance on a bar top, some of us will fall off the bar top. Some people will die as a result of liberalising bar top dancing… a young girl with a short skirt dancing on it may attract some insults from some other men, the boyfriend will start fighting and some people will die.”
