Singaporeans most schizophrenic people in the world

Posted on 19 March 2013

Various polls conducted between 2012 and now have confirmed what all Singaporeans have suspected — that we are the world’s most schizophrenic country.

According to the Asia Happiness Index 2013 conducted by the Eden Strategy Institute, Singaporeans are the happiest people online by far, ranking first among the five countries polled in Asia. The island clocked in an index score of 518, with its more lepak northern neighbour posting 245 (which probably means Malaysians are half as happy as Singaporeans?).

Indonesians are the least happy people in the poll, posting a dreadful score of 11.

Contrast this result to the Gallup Poll done last year, which not only ranked Singapore as the least emotional country in the world, but also the most miserable. Gallup says that their results were “based on telephone and face-to-face interviews with approximately 1,000 adults, aged 15 and older, in each country each year between 2009 and 2011.”

We can therefore conclude that Singaporeans are in dire need of psychiatric treatment.

Or, that we are more likely to pretend to be happy on Facebook, but actually lead incredibly boring, modest lives and can’t be bothered to entertain phone pollsters.
