Three thoughts that must have went past your mind at some point.

Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan has proposed asking shopkeepers working in MRT stations to help out station staff during a rail breakdown.

Khaw said these shopkeepers could help guide commuters to the right bus stop or to the right queue to reduce confusion among commuters.

He made this suggest in a blog post on Oct. 24, titled “The First Hour”.

Here are three thoughts Singaporeans have:

sian-half-auntie “70 percent of Singaporeans would agree to this kind of chut pattern.”
Hua Jia, 43-year-old batik shirt maker

sian-half-uncle “At this rate, then the shopkeepers will be very busy, every week have to direct people.”
Jin Boh Eng, 63-year-old semi-retired

happy-bird-girl “Khaw Boon Wan should personally go down to the station to direct commuters. Hands on training.”
Kah Kee Lai, 17-year-old student
