Native lizards are upset that foreign talent lizards are taking up their jobs and getting paid more in the process.

The newly arrived foreign talent lizards are from the Caribbean and taking up residence at the newly-minted Gardens by the Bay, Singapore’s premier tourist attraction.

Word on the street is that the newly arrived foreign lizards are making up to $6 and hour, compared to $4.50 per hour for locals, sitting on leaves.

Ji Leng, a Singaporean, said: “The government whole day build new places for foreigners to stay, for tourists to play. All locals are being sidelined.”

This has pushed others to seek a solution.

Gek Koh, another local, said he will be petitioning Transitioning.org head and leading protest organiser, Gilbert Goh, to go to Hong Lim Park to hold a demonstration: “Gilbert can organise on a sunny day? We cold-blooded so need to get under the sun to regulate our temperature. Thanks.”

At least there was one identifiable type of meat.

Singaporeans from all walks of life and with varying levels of BMIs heaved a collective sigh of relief when it was revealed on Facebook a few days ago that McDonald’s Sausage McMuffin might have been made of lizard.

A photo showing something sticking out meant that there was actually some form of real meat inside.

Mai Dan Lao, a local fast-foodie, said: “My first reaction when I saw the so-called ‘lizard tail’ McMuffin was one of massive shock. I thought to myself: ‘Oh my god! McDonald’s actually uses real meat in their food?!'”

This helped to boost the appetite of other fast-foodies.

Keng De Ji, another fast-foodie, said: “I was always under the impression McDonald’s uses well-seasoned processed cardboard in their patties.”

McDonald’s, on the other hand, has always emphasised how well-prepared and tasty their food is.

For example, for hand-crafted authenticity of their McMuffins, McDonald’s gets a machine to knead the dough.
