Both sides are expected to perish during clash at National Stadium.

Last-minute insurance purchases have been made by both Japan and Brazil team players ahead of tonight’s clash at the Singapore National Stadium on Oct. 14, 2014, where both sides are expected to be seriously injured or die due to sandy pitch conditions that resemble Normandy Beach, instead of a proper football field.

The conditions of the playing field are so bad, it is estimated that the number of deaths could far exceed the proportion of the troops who perished while storming the French shore during World War II.

Watanabe Fukisthis, the Japanese team physiologist said via an interpreter: “Most of the players have took out life insurance of at least $10 million from NTUC Income. They do not expect to return home to Japan after tonight’s game.”

“A lot of the players are calling their loved ones back home, saying their last goodbyes and bidding farewell to their club and country that they left behind to come to Singapore to die.”

“A lot of them know that tonight’s game is likely to end their playing careers, but most definitely, their lives. Almost all do not expect to walk ever again.”

However, this match will be exceptionally painful for some.

For example, the Brazilian star Neymar, who had just recovered from a near-career-ending back injury in July’s World Cup 2014.

Brazilian side’s team physician, Jesus Jose, said: “We will all die with regret. No doubt about it.”

The Football Association of Singapore has announced that the Japan versus Brazil match to be held at the National Stadium in the evening on Oct. 14, 2014, will be converted into a beach football match.

This after it was discovered that the pitch condition was still too sandy to be considered a regular football field, where the turf is typically made of grass that doesn’t cost $1 billion to grow.

Kee Tak Kiu, a Singaporean official, said: “We will bring in the smaller goal posts and narrow down the perimeter of the pitch to fit the smaller court size of beach football.”

“This will essentially be a 5-a-side game.”

“To add to the atmosphere of a beach environment, we’d bring in the flood lights we used to simulate grass growth and shine it at the players, given that we are playing at night. This will create the effect as if it was in the day.”

“It is regrettable that we cannot have a nicer pitch with green grass.”

“This is a reminder that sometimes money cannot buy success.”
