They wanted to go for 10,000.
This after they managed to only lodge 3,000 complaints in the first 30 minutes of the opening of Artbox beside Marina Bay Sands.
One Singaporean, Karl Peh, said: “This is a missed opportunity. We should have just gone all out and put in 10,000 complaints within the first 30 minutes.”
“I think we have let ourselves down and our country and forefathers down as well.”
“We ought to do better next time.”
Other locals said the 3,000 complaints in the first half an hour is a reminder Singaporeans need to strive to better themselves.
Another local, Kao Yao said: “We have absolutely no excuse to not do any better.”
“We saw this event coming for a few weeks already and we should have readied ourselves by preparing a list of gripes in advance.”
“Besides the overcrowding and the lack of parking options, we should have attacked the food, the people, the smells, the lack of originality, the lack of authenticity, the high prices, the lack of any memorable highlights and the presence of too many local stalls, over and above the obvious overcrowding. Attacking the crowd size is just cliched.”
“Above all, we forgot to blame the PAP government and their liberal foreign talent policy.”
“This is a critical failure on the part of the citizens of Singapore.”
