This after it took news about Ang Mo Kio Town Council three months to make public, when it was first uncovered in September 2016 and reported by December the same year, proving once and for all that this is the work of government efficiency.
One local, Jin Kin, said: “Singapore took 50 years to go from fishing village to First World Nation but took three months to reveal wrongdoing.”
“This just proves Singapore has been progressing very fast, building buildings and institutions. So little time, so many buildings.”
Other locals said three months is a reasonable time frame for breaking the news of any wrongdoing.
One local, Mei You Cuo, said: “Three months, six months, 12 months, all the same.”
“There is no such thing as the government being inefficient or trying not to make things go public fully for all to gawk at and point fingers.”
