S’poreans react to PM Lee Hsien Loong trying out a swing at Future Of Us exhibition

Posted on 02 December 2015

Three thoughts that must have went past your mind at some point.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong tried out a swing on Nov. 29, 2015, at one of the stations at the Future Of Us exhibition held at Gardens By The Bay, which caps the year-long SG50 Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The exhibition depicts scenarios of how daily living will be like in Singapore in the year 2030 and it is meant for people in Singapore to think about their future lives for themselves.

Here are three thoughts Singaporeans have:

sian-half-auntie “The future of us was dependent on how well the hinges of the swing was holding Lee Hsien Loong up.”
Wan Sua, 43-year-old playground equipment maintenance manager

sian-half-uncle “It is always good to see our prime minister acting his age.”
Jiak Buay Tua, 63-year-old ex-kindergarten janitor

happy-bird-girl “This is not even representative of the present as playgrounds these days don’t even have swings.”
Keh Seow, 18-year-old dropout
