Day of national mourning declared after Serina Wee found guilty

Posted on 21 October 2015

Let’s observe a few moments of silence.

Singaporean men from all walks of life, who believed in the criminal justice system, have fallen onto their knees, put their faces into their hands and wept openly in the streets.

This after Serina Wee was found guilty of all charges, including criminal breach of trust and falsification of accounts, levelled against her and the other five current and former City Harvest Church leaders.

They all face jail time and fines.

One Singaporean man, Bu Gong Ping, said: “There is no more justice in this world. She is The Goddess of Nectar and All Things Divine. She does not deserve this.”

“But I believe she will still look stunning in prison wear.”

Other Singaporeans said this verdict has brought out a pain in them they have not felt since National Service.

Another local, Xing Hen Tong, said: “This is more painful than IPPT.”

“Why can’t Sun Ho go to prison instead?”

“The only thing she ever stole was my heart.”

“Along with thousands of other hearts, I suppose.”

“But still… Why…”

At press time, Oct. 21 has been declared Serina Wee Day.
