S’pore Subordinate Courts win award for ‘most convictions a minute’?

Posted on 04 October 2013

Singaporeans interviewed said they had no idea what the excellence award means.

It looks like Singapore can add another cap to its feather.

This after the Subordinate Courts have won the “World Class Award” for global performance excellence.

However, the title is as puzzling as the win to most Singaporeans.

Bu Zhi Dao, a local, said: “This Global Performance Excellence Award is for the most convictions a minute is it?”

Others were more clear-minded about how it works.

Kwa Chio Buh, a Singaporean, said: “Subordinate Courts win award is because they always host Serina Wee is it?”
